Our beautiful church stands in the centre of the village, and, for over 900 years, villagers and people from all walks of life have found sanctuary and the love of God in this building, sharing fellowship and worship together. Today is the same, the church belongs to the village, and everyone is very welcome, whether you wish to attend a service, to visit our architectural and historic gems, or to find space for privacy and prayer.
Our worship is Eucharistically based - using Common Worship Modern language - and is well supported by a wide variety of age groups serving the breadth of the local community. We have a strong choir who help to contribute Sunday by Sunday with 'virtual recordings of hymns' and an enthusiastic team of bellringers who call the faithful to worship.
The children's Sunday Club is a special highlight for our younger worshippers (unfortunately this is unable to operate at the moment)
Of the many things that we value in our church life together, spiritual guidance, tolerance, commitment and a sense of fun are universal. We enjoy a high standard of pastoral care that is exercised at all levels, celebrating the value of every individual within our community. We work closely with the parish of St Peter and St Paul, our sister church within the Benefice and share resources and the occasional services with Christ Church, South Nutfield, the third church within our group of churches.
