  • Welcome to the website of St Mary's Church
We hope it will give you a flavour of our parish and the diverse ways in which we share our love of God.

We believe in an inclusive church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate on the grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, sexuality or any other grounds. Everyone is welcome.

WHERE IS THE COOLEST PLACE IN THE VILLAGE? Of course, inside St Mary's! Do feel free to come into our beautiful church, enjoy the peace and quiet of the building and COOL OFF. It is open everyday between 9am and 5pm.

The church is open daily for private prayer and for Sunday services. We look forward to welcoming you.

Sadly we say goodbye to our Rector, the Rev'd Pheadra Pamphilon Green, on Sunday August 14th. Her final service will be shared with St Peter and St Paul, Nutfield,  who will join us for a Benefice Service of Holy Communion at 11am.
We wish Phe, Tony and their family the very best of good wishes for life in their new parish.

During the Interregnum Sunday services will be as follows:

There will NOT be a service at 8am, Holy Communion will be on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month at 9.30am. On the 3rd Sunday, also at 9.30am there will be a Family Friendly non Eucharistic Service. Please check the website for up to date information.

A Prayer for the people of Ukraine

God of peace and justice, we pray for the people
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow
that your spirit of comfort would draw near to them
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
    for wisdom, discernment and compassion,

    to guide their decisions.
Above all we pry for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
That you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen.

(Archbishop Justin Welby, Archbishop Stephen Cottrell)
